Liebster Blog award!

I was so surprised when Linda from My Creative Playground awarded me with the Liebster Blog Award!  The Liebster Blog award is given to bring new blogs to light. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen or ones you want to share with others.

I am happy to have Linda as my new blogging friend! Please check out her creative blog, you'll find tons of great ideas!

As a recipient of this award I must share the love and play it forward by:

1-Creating a post where you blog about the Liebster award and reveal your 3-5 blog picks

2-Let them know you chose them

3-Copy and paste the blog award on your blog

4-Have faith that your followers will rally and show their crafty love back out to those you awarded

5-Have fun!

With all this in mind, I will pass this special award on to :

Happy Love Day!

I had a wonderful Valentine's Day yesterday!  At work there were some heart chocolates on my desk.  That was a nice way to start the day!  Then my husband changed his work day so we could have dinner out!  When he picked me up from work, he had a little suprise for me, a happy bird Pandora charm!  It was a lovely love day!  I'd love to hear about yours!

A sweet pink matryoshka doll card!

I love this sweet girl!  It seems like I can't get enough of these matryoskha dolls!

I cut her at 4" with my Cindy Lou cartridge.  And placed her on a shimmery blue background that I embossed with my cuttlebug using the Floral Fantasy embossing folder.  I went shopping at a new local shop called Paper Nation today, and used one of my new purchases on this card.  The lavender pearl in the center is by Kaiser scrapbook, and I just love it!  Oh, and I also used pop dots to add dimension.
Don't you think it looks like she just heard the funniest thing?  She's so cute!

Hospice Silver Ball

Carolyne got roped into helping me at the Silver Ball this year!  She did such a great job I think she'll have to come and volunteer at all our events!
Our local Hospice Society has been in our community helping people with end of life care and their families with bereavement care for 25 years!  I'm proud to work for such a wonderful society.

We also had a photo booth at the ball! It was a blast!

I donated this handmade freshwater pearl necklace along with  matching earrings to the Silent Auction.  It was so exciting to watch the bids increase throughout the evening!  It sold for $100!  All proceeds will go to the Hospice Society, and in turn to local families.

Critter Art

I just LOVE these adorable creatures!  They are all from the Create a Critter cricut cartridge, and are oh so cute!  I adhered them (with my ATG tape gun)  to an 8 1/2 by 11 canvas that I painted an off white.

All the critters were cut at 5", but for some reason the accents were way too big when I cut them at 5".  So I played around with some sizes and decided that I liked them cut at 3".   This owl is by far my favorite on the cart!  I think they make a sweet grouping!  I can't wait to give them away!
