This was my first attempt at origami tea bag flowers. I think it turned out pretty good. Although I do think it looks a little Christmasy. I used the Storybook cart to cut the scalloped circle then folded the flower. I really like the 3D effect with this technique. If anyone would like a tutorial let me know!

One of the best things about living in B.C. is our fruit, and today was spent with my mom and sister making jam! We had a great time slicing, boiling, and pouring. We used my great aunt Anne's recipe which is:
4 cups of fruit (measured after it has been boiled)
2 tbs white vinegar - boil for 4 min.
4 cups of white sugar - boil for 7 min.
pour into jars and seal
In total we turned out 38 jars of apricot and 12 jars of strawberry.

Ok, I know this might sound lame to some, but I really, really want this mop! I've been using a Swiffer Wet Jet, and it has this chemical smell that lingers and gives me headaches, even when I clean with the door open! If anyone has one of these let me know how you like it! You can check out the infomercial here: http://sharksteammop.net/
I got it! And I LOVE it.
