origami tea bag flower card

This was my first attempt at origami tea bag flowers. I think it turned out pretty good. Although I do think it looks a little Christmasy. I used the Storybook cart to cut the scalloped circle then folded the flower. I really like the 3D effect with this technique. If anyone would like a tutorial let me know!

We're jammin'!

One of the best things about living in B.C. is our fruit, and today was spent with my mom and sister making jam! We had a great time slicing, boiling, and pouring. We used my great aunt Anne's recipe which is:

4 cups of fruit (measured after it has been boiled)
2 tbs white vinegar - boil for 4 min.
4 cups of white sugar - boil for 7 min.
pour into jars and seal

In total we turned out 38 jars of apricot and 12 jars of strawberry.

Today at 7 Eleven it was free slurpee day! These cute little guys were 7.11oz. How cute is that, thanks 7 Eleven!

I love this vintage s.o.s. pad holder. It belonged to my Grandma and it makes me smile every time I use it! This cute little guy might even make doing the dishes more enjoyable!

favorite wedding photo

I was playing around in iphoto on my mac and love how this photo came out! It was one of my favorite wedding photos before, and now that it's slightly edited I love it even more!

shark steam mop

Ok, I know this might sound lame to some, but I really, really want this mop! I've been using a Swiffer Wet Jet, and it has this chemical smell that lingers and gives me headaches, even when I clean with the door open! If anyone has one of these let me know how you like it! You can check out the infomercial here:
